How to get there /By Sea

Ustica is easily reached by ferry (Siremar or N.G.I.) or by hydrofoil (Siremar and Ustica Lines), departing directly from Palermo. It is also possible to reach Ustica by hydrofoil (Ustica Lines) from Naples.

Palermo can be also reached by ferry from Civitavecchia (Grimaldi), Cagliari (Tirrenia), Tunisi (Grimaldi) and from the Eolian Islands.

By plane or helicopter

It is possible to reach Ustica through two nearby airports:

» Airport "Falcone-Borsellino", Palermo-Punta Raisi (flights available with Ryanair, Alitalia, Blu-Express, AirOne, AirBerlin, EasyJet, Transavia, TunisAir, Vueling).

» Airport "Vincenzo Florio", Trapani-Birgi (Ryanair, Meridiana, AirOne).

From these airports, it is possible to reach the harbour of Palermo by car (check the car rental company list on respective airports websites), by train or by bus (Prestia e Comandè).

There is also an helicopter service operated by AerSicilia, which connects Palermo Airport with Ustica.

By train

LPalermo Central train station is well connected through the National Railway System. The Station about 3 km from the Harbour, where the ferries leave from to reach Ustica.

By bus

Palermo is connected to several other cities by bus. One of the main bus stops in the city centre is Politeama Square (Piazza Politeama), which is about 1 Km from the harbour entrance.
