The Marine Protected Area Isola di Ustica was established in 1986 and it extends for over 15,000 ha. The Island and its waters present some of the most unique coastal and marine environment. Here, the managers work together with the local community to protect the environment and promote the local economy. Several important and charismatic species are found in the waters of Ustica, including the seagrass Posidonia oceanica, the dusky grouper, the bluefin tuna, amberjacks and basses, barracuda as well as octopus and spiny lobsters. Come to discover the most amazing diving in the Mediterranean!
